Say goodbye to hats and welcome a series of events celebrating 2010. It's Warming Families 10th anniversary year!
Congratulations...due to your efforts both the local GTA goal as well as the Warming Families goals have been achieved! We surpassed both goals. Four months ago it seemed that a goal of collecting 25,000 hats was unrealistic but we proved that statement wrong, 29,560 hats were donated to the homeless and displaced. Amazing.... For the GTA chapter since we were doing so well the past couple of months I had raised the bar to 550 hats, well we blew through that target and 594 hats were donated. The hats were delivered to various shelters such as - Interim Place II, Wilkinson Road Shelter, the Salvation Army Family Life Resource Centre and the Markham Food Bank.
If anyone still has hats they had hoped to add to the challenge we will still gladly accept them but now they will be added towards our monthly counts. Thank you, thank you and thank you. |
