Welcome to the Brampton & Greater Area (GTA) Chapter of Warming Families!!!
Find out how you can craft or donate warm items for those who are homeless, displaced or in nursing homes.
Items collected are donated to two shelters in the GTA area: the Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre a shelter for women and children; Wilkinson Road Shelter, a homeless shelter; and , a shelter for women and children, both shelters are administered by the Salvation Army. When there is a special project additional shelters in the GTA will receive the overflow items.
Enjoy your summer...
Happy New Year!
It’s wintertime and there is a great need for warm items such as: hats, ear warmers, scarves, mittens, and slippers. Or if you are ambitious maybe even consider making squares and assembling a blanket.
For a complete list of suggested items to donate please go to the `How to Help` page.
Happy 150th birthday Canada (1867-2017)
Fellow Canadians this is a great time to make red & white themed items. What ideas can you come up with?
