Before the Christmas holiday I decided to pair white worsted yarn with cranberry coloured holiday yarn and voila. The blanket pattern is Jacob’s Ladder. Once you decide on the number of foundation stitches it’s a simple pattern of 10 double crochet’s and 10 chain stitches. I must admit that the piece looked very strange until I had completed several rows and was able to start to draw up the loops (the chain stitches) and suddenly the distinctive ridge pattern appeared.
Here are a couple of links to Jacob’s Ladder patterns I found on the web.

It’s been quite some time since my last post, sorry about that. Due to personal issues I haven’t had a lot of time to devote to my crafting in the past few months. Lately I’ve had a slight break in my schedule so this past week I’ve put that time to good use and made a few hats and worked on a few projects. I’m the type of crafter who has several items on the go at the same time and work on each project according to my mood. Right now I have three blankets on the go, so here’s a sneak preview. See my next post for blankets 2 and 3.
