Welcome to the Brampton & Greater Area (GTA) Chapter of Warming Families!!!
Find out how you can craft or donate warm items for those who are homeless, displaced or in nursing homes.
Items collected are donated to three shelters in the GTA area: Interim Place II, a shelter for women and children; Wilkinson Road Shelter, a homeless shelter; and the Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre, a shelter for women and children, the latter two are both administered by the Salvation Army. When there is a special project additional shelters in the GTA will receive the overflow items.
Enjoy your spring...
What's New or Upcoming?

It’s summer and it may or may not be the time when you have a bit of time to relax and dig out that crochet hook or knitting needles. If you’re on the go this summer why not consider working on light projects e.g. 8” squares, slippers, toys or hats (that can be stored until the fall). Or if you are ambitious maybe even consider making a blanket. Although it may be summer there is always a need for these items.
For a complete list of suggested items to donate please go to the `How to Help` page.
