Welcome to the Brampton & Greater Area (GTA) Chapter of Warming Families!!!

Find out how you can craft or donate warm items for those who are homeless, displaced or in nursing homes.

Items collected are donated to three shelters in the GTA area: Interim Place II, a shelter for women and children; Wilkinson Road Shelter, a homeless shelter; and the Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre, a shelter for women and children, the latter two are both administered by the Salvation Army. When there is a special project additional shelters in the GTA will receive the overflow items.

It's Springtime...

_ It's springtime and as the weather turns nice it is easy to forget the year-round need faced by the shelters.  Rather than give up on your projects consider projects that are portable, such as 8” squares or slippers. These items are small and require minimal supplies to be carted around. Slippers are needed year round and those squares can be converted into blankets at home. Just some food for thought...
