Congratulations to everyone who has contributed thus far to the hat challenge. The original goal for the GTA chapter was 400 hats and we've now surpassed it with a month left to go. So it's time to set a new goal. I thought about rounding things off by committing to only 500 hats but why stop there, let's dream big and throw out a new challenge of making 550 by the end of December. I know everyone is now preparing for the holiday season but I still think that we can still manage it. To everyone who has promised to make hats we're counting on you to pull us through. Happy crafting!
I just discovered this interesting his/her pattern that has an interesting pinwheel effect on the crown. The pattern can be found at http://www.naturallycaron.com/projects/sydney/sydney_1.html
The goal for the overall hat challenge was 15,000 to 25,000 hats, while we're almost to the lower figure. As of the end of October 10,527 hats have been donated for this challenge! Congratulations everyone.
