Here’s my latest blanket. I was shifting through my stash and came across a partial bag of the “cream” yarn. Someone had graciously donated the yarn but since the yarn was discontinued years ago I knew I had to be careful not to do my usual ´let’s make this up as I go type of blanket” since I had a limited amount of this yarn. The cream yarn consisted of 50 g balls of “Simpsons Sayelle”. If you’re Canadian this brand is a blast from the past. The Simpsons store hasn’t been in existence for about 20 years. To ensure I had enough yarn to work to complete the project I opted to create a blanket where the colour changed on alternate rows. I haven’t done an alternating colour change like this in a very long time. If you carry the colour that you’re not using up in the back of your project the only time you have to weave in ends is when the ball of yarn you’re working with runs out.
