If you want to try a blanket that has a variety of squares in the same project why not try the 2011 Bernat Mystery Crochet-Along Afghan (CAL). I personally just discovered the link and think this is a project that I might tackle in the near future. In the past I’ve done a couple of afghans that are made up of different size squares and it sure takes the boredom out of doing the same square over and over. The only challenge is at the end when you are assembling and joining the squares together. Once you have the hang of it it’s a breeze.
