You can find the pattern for the Circle-in-a-square at Crochet World. Yo yo's are double crochet stitches worked into a ring. Granny daughters are the first row of a basic granny square. Instructions for yo yo's and granny daughter can be found on the Crochet Cabana site.
What do you do when you don’t have air conditioning? It’s time to concentrate on small projects. As usual I have a number of WIPs but anything that is made in one piece has been put on the backburner for much cooler days. Lately the temperature has been averaging from 32 to 40 Celsius which is in the 90s to 100s when you factor in the humidity. It is definitely not the time of year you want a large heavy piece growing in your lap. This is the perfect time to use up those odds and ends from other projects. You know that half or quarter skein which is not enough to do anything constructive with. Not enough to use in my supply of 5 row granny squares or towards my hexagon blanket (see the January post). So I’m making the leftover yardage go as far as possible. With the larger lots I’m making the circles for the “Circle-in-a-square” blanket, and what is left over is being turned into yo yo’s or granny daughters.

Wow, wow, wow! I wish I was a great writer like you, because trust me I am falling short off words to express what I am feeling after reading this blog post. I really appreciate your skills and thoughtfulness.
