This blanket officially puts me over half way to my goal for 2011 to make 10 blankets for charity, yahoo!!!
Well the weather has cooperated these past few evenings and it was cool enough to complete the Scalloped Stripes Throw. The original pattern called for a squared throw but for the intended purpose of this blanket it made more sense to make it rectangular and to lengthen it. Remember your project is all about who you're making the blanket for. I also did away with the border as I had a limited amount of the pink yarn left. The pink yarn has been sitting in my stash for about a yarn and apparently is a discontinued colour so I just knew if I added the border I would run out of yarn and have to “frog” (means unwind) the border back to the beginning.
